The vertical brushing is highly polished from edge to edge, which should allow for some fun light play in person. The case is around 42mm wide and 13.5mm thick, making it a bit chunkier than the BR 05 with time and date, so it should have some presence on the wrist. We'd certainly defer judgment on wearability until we could wear it, but those dimensions tend to mean this particular integrated sports watch doesn't have some of its sleeker, thinner appeal. The dial certainly has some substantial differences compared to the simple time and date version. The 3:00 and 9:00 registers have the same square case shape, providing a pleasing contrast to the round dial. Each sub-dial is surrounded by a gray border with a snail effect inside. They look very well made and, along with the applied hour markers and polished and applied numerals at 6 and 12, give the dial some much-needed texture and depth, which was a fairly simple and flat affair on the original BR 05.
